Mogadishu, 5 October 2026 — Midnimo Microfinance participated today in the first day of the EU–Somalia Business Forum 2026, taking place in Mogadishu on 5–6 October 2026.
Under the theme “Invest in Somalia: Unlocking High-Potential Markets”, the forum focuses on investment opportunities in Somalia, stronger trade connections and partnerships between Somali businesses and companies from the European Union.
The forum brings together entrepreneurs, investors, financial institutions, business associations and government institutions. Priority sectors include agriculture, energy, digital services and trade logistics.
Its objectives include showcasing market opportunities, facilitating business connections and exploring financing pathways that can support business growth. Particular attention is also given to enterprises led by women and young people.
Midnimo Microfinance views its participation as an opportunity to better understand entrepreneurs’ needs, barriers to accessing finance and potential partnerships in the market. These issues are especially relevant to the growth of small businesses and broader economic participation.
The two-day forum brings together stakeholders interested in investment and business development in Somalia.
